Dr. Raychelle
Cassada Lohmann

Ph.D., LCMHCS, NCC, ACS, BC-TMH, GCDF

I earned my doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from North Carolina State University, where I also completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Counselor Education. With over 25 years of experience in school and clinical mental health counseling, I have dedicated my career to supporting children, adolescents, parents, and educators. My deep passion for counseling drives my mission to “help others transform their lives from the inside out.”

As an EMDR-certified therapist specializing in trauma-informed care, I am committed to guiding individuals through healing and personal growth. In addition to my clinical work, I am a professor mentoring students pursuing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I am a board-certified licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor in North Carolina (#S3954) and a licensed professional counselor in South Carolina (#4802). I have written multiple books and workbooks, as well as spoken at national and international conferences. My work has been featured in prominent national and international media outlets such as the Associated Press, Chicago Tribune, Seventeen Magazine, Scholastic, and US News and World Report.

I am dedicated to making evidence-based practices accessible, practical, and relevant both in my writing and clinical practice. I provide both brief and long-term therapy to individuals and groups, utilizing cognitive, behavioral, trauma-focused, and mindfulness-based approaches. My work addresses a wide range of issues, including academic challenges, anger management, anxiety, bullying, depression, stress management, complex trauma, and social and interpersonal concerns. An EMDR-certified provider and an active member of the EMDR International Association, I also hold several certifications, including Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH), and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).

As a co-founder of Harbor Counseling and Consulting (HCC), I am deeply committed to the importance of mental health. At HCC, our mission is to support you in navigating life's challenges by providing a safe and welcoming space to find peace, clarity, and the tools necessary for healing and personal growth.
